Introducing Chef Al: How it all began...
Chef Al

Before becoming known as "Chef Al", working-man Al would arrive home late, impatiently pre-heat his oven, and toss in a frozen dinner. Some 45 minutes later he would sit down to a high-fat, preservative-filled, leave-'em-still-hungry ---- "meal??". He salivated for the cuisine he remembered from his New-England youth, but this wasn't the time to slave over the proverbial hot stove.

On impulse one day he bought a steak and broiled it "as-was". It was plain, but turned out delicious, appetite-fulfilling, half the cost of the frozen dinner, and it took only twelve minutes! So the following day he bought fresh chicken. Not having the slightest idea what to do with it, he sought advice from his neighbor. However, she ate exclusively in restaurants and didn't even know what a kitchen was, let alone a chicken. It then hit him: "There are many intelligent people out there who don't know the first thing about preparing simple food." So for the next decade he researched the not-so-obvious basics that he now shares with you.
